DC-X a winner in Asia!
2011 was certainly a year of success in Asia for Digital Collections from Germany and its powerful Media Asset Management System DC-X. At Star Publications (M) Berhad in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia the DC-X system had a successful go-live after a smooth implementation, replacing the DC4 based archive and a third-party photo production and workflow tool. The users are now enjoying much faster performance and richer functionality.
The unrivalled performance and comprehensive functionality, including automatic monitoring of external and internal sources, a powerful semantic engine, story editor and much more have made DC-X the system of choice of many leading publishers world-wide and also in Asia. Mediacorp Pte Ltd, one of Singapore’s largest and most diversified media houses has selected DC-X to replace the DC4 system that has served the “Today” newsroom for the past 10 years.
In Bangkok, Thailand, The Post Publishing Post Public Company Ltd – publishers of Thailand’s leading English-language paper “The Bangkok Post” and the Thai-language paper “Post Today” – has selected DC-X as an integral part of their integrated editorial workflow for all their publications, which also includes the Thai-language free sheet M2F. Here the DC-X system will provide search and editing functionality in both Thai and English.
“With the increased need for publishers to integrate and streamline workflow amongst their publications, we see a strong, continuous growth potential for DC-X here in Asia!” says Reiner Ebenhoch, Managing Director of Medialive Pte Ltd, Digital Collections’s Asia Representative and continues “DC’s management has always been a strong supporter of the Asian market, which is reflected in the great support they are giving us and our customers!”
